The Philosophy Institute at Universidad Austral hosted on 29-30 November the First Latin American Conference on Philosophy of the Natural and Cognitive Sciences, with the goal of promoting dialogue between philosophy, the natural and cognitive sciences, and religious and theological thought among Spanish-speaking academics. Graduate students as well as post-doctoral fellows of all the region took part in this event, including participants from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay.
Presentations were devoted to issues that were usually treated by philosophy and that today claim for a revision under the light of the discoveries of contemporary science, generating interdisciplinary dialogues that are indispensable to understand fully the reality of human beings today.
